THE CAUSE: Medical lawsuit abuse has turned our legal system into a lawsuit lottery where a few win and the rest of us lose. THE SOLUTION: It’s time for Congress to enact proven, commonsense reforms that safeguard patients’ access to care while preserving their access to the courts. THE HCLA: To address the medical liability crisis, more than fifty organizations representing health care providers, employers, insurers and health care consumers have joined forces in the HCLA to urge Congress to protect patients’ access to care by passing commonsense federal medical liability reforms.
